The Lemon Hat was a MacGuffin that allowed the ghost characters to leave the house where they were sequestered. It is composed of indeterminable electrical components, mostly from an old digital alarm clock. The lemons came from the idea that it needed its own “Flux Capacitor” type mechanism to reveal how it functioned without having to properly explain how it functioned. The lemons are Styrofoam and glow through battery-powered Christmas lights.
